Sara Fagen serves as the CEO of Tunnl, a leading analytics and technology company that partners with advertising and communications professionals to more effectively reach and measure target audiences across paid and earned media platforms. Fagen co-founded Deep Root Analytics in 2013.
Prior to taking the helm at Tunnl and Deep Root, Fagen served as a partner at DDC Public Affairs in Washington D.C., where she helped clients solve some of their toughest public affairs and political challenges. Sara became a Partner at DDC in 2011 after the company acquired BlueFront Strategies, an issue advocacy firm she founded. In 2014, Fagen helped lead the sale of DDC to Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC).
Sara is also a founder of Resonate Insights, a disruptive real-time consumer intelligence platform that brings together real-time survey data and insights on over 230 million consumers and online behavioral data all in one platform.
Before branching out as an entrepreneur, Sara had a successful career in government and campaign politics. Sara served as White House Political Director for President George W. Bush. During her years in the White House, Fagen was involved in helping enact some of President Bush’s most significant legislative accomplishments. Fagen also played a key role in the President’s 2004 re-election campaign, in which she served as a senior strategist directing opinion research and paid media. Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in survey research as the Project Manager for Market Strategies.
I am a graduate of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and George Washington University where I earned a Master's degree in Political Management. I currently live in Appleton, WI with my family. When I’m not keeping busy with stuff around the house, you can find me at one of my children's games.

Chief Technology Officer
I joined Tunnl in May of 2017 and serve as the Chief Technology Officer.
At Tunnl, I lead the data science team, develop new data products for our platform, and direct custom targeting and analytics engagements.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in consulting as a Consultant for a Corporate Executive Board.
I am a graduate of Randolph-Macon College, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in History and Georgetown University with a Master's degree in Mathematics. I currently live in Washington, DC with my wife, my son, and a very excitable Golden Retriever. When I’m not keeping busy developing new approaches to problems in ad targeting and marketing measurement, you can find me at Camden Yards, rooting for the 1983 World Champion Baltimore Orioles.
Chief Revenue Officer
I joined Tunnl in January of 2014 and currently serve as the Chief Revenue Officer.
At Tunnl, I lead the Sales, Marketing and Data Partnerships teams.
Prior to serving as the Chief Revenue Officer, I held roles at Tunnl in Product and Client Relations.
I am a graduate of UC Berkeley, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, and Georgetown University where I earned a Master's degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology. I live in the suburbs of Washington, DC with my wife and three children.

SVP, Engineering
I joined Tunnl in June of 2020 and currently serve as the SVP of Engineering.
At Tunnl, I lead the product development, data operations, and security efforts.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained 25 years of experience in web sites and data operations as the CTO of several startups and leader of the partner innovation group at Dun & Bradstreet.
I currently live in Austin, TX with my wife and children. When I’m not keeping busy at work, you can find me on my boat on Lake Austin or cheering on the University of Texas sports teams.
VP, Data Quality and Operations
I joined Tunnl in March of 2020 and currently serve as the VP of Operations.
At Tunnl, I lead hiring, human resources, and day to day management.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in data and operations for TargetPoint and i360. Prior to that I worked in institutional securities for Morgan Stanley and KBC.
I am a graduate of Towson University, where I earned degrees in Political Science and Economics. I currently live in Alexandria, VA. When I’m not keeping busy managing the Tunnl Team, you can find me reading and traveling.

I joined Tunnl in September 2013 and currently serve as the VP of Product.
At Tunnl, I focus on Product Strategy, Development, and Operations. Prior to my current role, I led the Client Relations team at Tunnl.
Before joining Tunnl, I gained experience in data analysis and microtargeting at TargetPoint Consulting and on Mitt Romney's 2012 Presidential campaign.
I attended Georgetown University where I got my Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations.
I currently live in Alexandria, VA with my husband, two sons, and rescue pup.

Marco brings to the team a 20-year career in tech sales and is especially excited about Tunnl's entrepreneurial culture focused on big growth and doing the right thing.
Marco was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. He went to the University of Maryland, College Park where he majored in psychology, one of the things to which he credits his success in sales. After a few years in Boston cutting his post-grad teeth in tech, he has planted his roots in Montgomery County.
Marco and his wife Nikki have three kids named Maria, Little Marco, and Maya. Together, they enjoy playing golf and basketball, and snowboarding.
VP, Account Management
I joined Tunnl in October of 2019 and currently serve as a VP of Business Development.
At Tunnl, I help drive the company’s business development in the brand, issue advocacy, and corporate reputation space.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in public affairs and advocacy at DDC Public Affairs and as Director of State Affairs for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).
I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky where I majored in Political Science and International Relations. I currently live in Alexandria, VA. When I’m not keeping busy with Tunnl duties, you can find me losing money on the golf course somewhere.
Senior Director, Customer Success
I joined Tunnl in April 2022 and currently serve as the Senior Director of Partnerships.
At Tunnl, I lead the partnerships team as we work with new and existing partners, platforms, and agencies to make our data easily accessible and usable for a variety of campaigns.
Before Tunnl, I was a senior account executive at a4 Advertising, where I oversaw digital campaign planning and execution for corporations, political campaigns, nonprofits, and agencies. Previously, I also worked at APCO Worldwide and helped clients reach and engage with their audiences online.
I am a graduate of the University of Alabama, where I majored in journalism and Spanish.
I currently live in Washington, DC.
When I am not at Tunnl, you can find me going on adventures with my 2 year old daughter around the area (especially if ice cream is involved).

Originally from Alabama, Ashley received her undergraduate degree in Communications from Montreat College in North Carolina before earning her graduate degree in Internet Marketing from Full Sail University. She's called the DMV area home for over a decade, amassing years of experience in the ever-changing digital elements of politics. When she's away from her desk, you can find Ashley at her local theatre enjoying plays and comedy shows.

I joined Tunnl in February 2022 and currently serve as Senior Director, Client Relations, Public Affairs.
At Tunnl, I help our clients understand how they can reach the people they care about most in the most effective and efficient ways possible.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in public affairs and advocacy at DDC Public Affairs and communications and federal contracting at Aptive Resources.
I attended American University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Communications, Law, Economics, and Government) and The University of Maryland College Park where I earned an MBA.

I joined Tunnl in January of 2022, and currently serve as Director of Partnerships.
At Tunnl, I build partnerships in the AdTech space with data onboarding platforms, DSPs, and managed service providers.
Prior to Tunnl, I worked at Data Trust as the Business Development Director.
I am a graduate of Wake Forest University where I majored in Mathematical Business.

I joined Tunnl in January of 2020 and currently serve as the Director of Agencies.
At Tunnl, I focus on agency relations, data partnerships, and audience distribution for our clients.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I gained experience in politics on the Hill, and in media & advertising as the Senior Media Buyer and Analyst for MediumBuying
I am a graduate of Kent State University where I earned degrees in Political Science and Psychology. I currently live in Arlington, VA.

Director, Business Development
A Massachusetts native, Kayla attended UMass Amherst to major in Political Science. She's a well-traveled campaign veteran, having lived in 10 different states in less than 10 years. Kayla moved to DC to run a PAC for a trade association and recently worked with nonprofit and advocacy clients at i360 before coming to Tunnl. In her free time, you can find Kayla cooking up steaks in neighborhood cooking competitions and spending time with her dog, Gordita.
Senior Manager, Agencies
Madison is from Lexington, Kentucky, and double majored in Political Science and Public Policy & Political Economy at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She interned on Capitol Hill during a summer in college and it inspired her to relocate to Washington, D.C. after graduation. In D.C., Madison has amassed two years of experience in the political fundraising world, both in direct mail and digital. In her free time, Madison enjoys watching sports—anything from football to cheerleading—cooking, and reading, especially historical fiction.
Senior Manager, Business Development
I joined Tunnl in February of 2022 and currently serve as an Analyst.
At Tunnl, I focus on client reporting, data analytics, and modeling.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I worked in professional baseball in scouting and front-office positions with the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, KT Wiz, and Toronto Blue Jays.
I majored in Business Management at the University of Kentucky.

Debora was born in Brazil and lived all over the U.S. and world before moving to Washington, D.C. to achieve her master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University.
Debora completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at Florida State University and her graduate degree in Political, Government, and Public Policy Advisory at the University of Brasília.
Before joining Tunnl, Debora worked Targeted Victory in the advertising department and amassed real-world experience with political research.
At Tunnl, Debora is looking forward to leveraging her diverse yet perfectly aligned background to help Tunnl grow through the growth of its users.

At Tunnl, I work with product, sales, partnerships, client relations, and creative teams to create and share engaging and educational content and experiences that establish Tunnl as the go-to source of micro-targeted audiences for purpose-driven marketing campaigns.
Prior to Tunnl, I was a Senior Inbound Consultant at HubSpot helping businesses maximize their software ROI with smart strategies that met their unique growth goals.
I am a graduate of Southern Methodist University. There, I majored in Creative Advertising and minored in Human Rights.
I currently live in Somerville, Massachusetts, just north of Boston.

Director, Applications Engineering
I joined Tunnl in December 2021, and currently serve as a Backend Engineer on the Technology team.
At Tunnl, I write code that powers our products such as Paid and Earned Media. When not working on our products, I'm working on internal tooling and efficiency of our codebase.
Prior to Tunnl, I served as a Software Engineering Lead for the Yext Consulting team, where I led a couple of teams that delivered full-stack solutions to clients.
I am a graduate of UT Austin, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
I currently live in McAllen, Texas with my 3 pups - an Iggy, Chihuahua, and an Aussie.

I joined Tunnl in March of 2022, and currently serve as the Director of Project Management.
At Tunnl, I help to ensure that our Technology teams' efforts are best aligned with our customers' needs and the company's business strategies.
Prior to joining Tunnl, I gained experience as a Business Systems Analyst and Project Manager at Sprint-Nextel and DC Public Schools and as a Product Manager while serving at Rosetta Stone.
My wife and I currently reside in Camp Springs, MD. While I'm not at work, I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and seeing live music. I'm also active in our local civic association, where I serve as a member of the Community Engagement committee.
Director, Platform Engineering
I joined Tunnl in August of 2020 and currently serve as the Senior Software Engineer.
At Tunnl, I focus on our Audiences product and front-end development.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I gained experience in web development as a full-stack engineer for several Austin-area software companies.
I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I currently live in Liberty Hill, Texas with my wife and two sons.

I joined Tunnl in April of 2022 and currently serve as the Associate Product Manager for Audiences.
At Tunnl, I ensure that our audiences meet our clients' needs and coordinate their creation from start to finish.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I gained analytics and data visualization experience in the political space at Data Trust and Deep Root, and most recently in the higher education marketing space at UMGC.
I am a graduate of the Ohio State University where I majored in Political Science with a minor in Statistics.
I currently live in Baltimore, MD.
When I'm not at Tunnl, I'm probably pretending I didn't athletically peak in high school (via volleyball tournaments, soccer, and running), watching college football, or trying to convince my friends to play Catan.
Product Manager
Jamie is a Maryland-born consumer product and software veteran. He left the footwear industry for a career in software, advancing companies through his roles as a product developer, business analyst, and technical program manager. You'll find him rooting for his alma mater - the University of Tennessee - or out on the golf course in his free time. Jamie also dabbles in DIY renovations on his Annapolis home that he shares with his wife, sons, and labrador, Leon.

I joined Tunnl in June of 2020 and currently serve as an Operations Manager.
At Tunnl, I help with operations and finance.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience in finance as a as Finance Associate at James M Martin Co.
I am a graduate of George Washington University where I majored in Economics. I currently live in Washington, DC.

I joined Tunnl in August of 2020 and currently serve as the Operations Manager.
At Tunnl, I focus on office operations and hiring/onboarding new employees.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I gained experience in polling as a Project Manager for WPA Intelligence. Prior to that I served as a project manager at the Republican National Committee.
I am a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where I earned degrees in International Relations & Spanish. I currently live in Washington, DC.
When I’m not busy at Tunnl, I'm either trying to find the ultimate chocolate chip cookie recipe or looking for another adventure and the the next place to hike.
Senior Manager, Accounting
Growing up on the Illinois side of St. Louis, Sara stayed in the area to major in Accounting at Illinois Wesleyan University before coming to DC in 2015. She brings years of corporate and public accounting experience with her from roles at DDC Public Affairs and HUNGRY. When she isn't in the office, Sara's usually recharging with her two cats over a good book or playing Call of Duty.
Operations Manager
Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Brittney grew up in Toronto Ontario before attending Strayer Univerity to major in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Brittney's prolific career kicked off with a stint as a Staff Assistant for the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and progressed into mission support management for the government and private sectors. Her experiences include roles at Verituity, The Greater Washington Partnership, WireWheel, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Transportation in the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. In her free time, you'll find Brittney planning scuba diving trips, painting, or mastering her culinary skills in a cooking class.
Senior Platform Engineer
I joined Tunnl in December of 2021, and currently serve as a Front End Developer.
At Tunnl, I am doing development for the Tunnl Platform site.
Prior to Tunnl, I worked for Sysco Foods enhancing their customer's online shopping experience.
I am a graduate of The University of Texas where I earned a BS in Computer Science.
I currently live in Cedar Park, TX with my husband and our two huskies.

I joined Tunnl in January 2022, and currently serve as an ETL Engineer on the Data Operations team.
At Tunnl, I manage the Audience ingestion process and help Client Relations access the data our clients need.
Prior to Tunnl, I led the Engineering team at Data Trust.
I am a graduate of Penn State University, where I earned a B.A. in Telecommunications.
I currently live in Alexandria, VA with my partner and our son.

I joined Tunnl in June 2022 and currently serve as a Data Analyst.
At Tunnl, I am working on different modeling streams, SFL reports using Tableau Desktop, Dashboard. I help various roles in Tunnl TAP team.
Prior to serving as a Data Analyst, I gained experience working as a Data Analyst Intern in Research Computing at University Alabama - Birmingham.
I am a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I earned a Master's degree in Computer Science, and Mumbai University where I earned a Bachelors degree in Information Technology.
I currently live in Falls Church, Virginia.

Applications Engineer
Farrel was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and moved to Virginia to attend George Mason University where he studied computer engineering.
At Tunnl, Farrel is excited to learn more about data and everything that goes along with it, from gathering it to transforming it.
In his free time, Farrel enjoys snowboarding and watching soccer. His favorite team is Liverpool FC.
DevSecOps Engineer
I joined Tunnl in April of 2022 and currently serve as a DecSecOps Engineer.
At Tunnl, I am responsible for ensuring data health and quality in every step of the pipeline process.
Prior to working as a DevSecOps Engineer, I worked in business development within the information security sector.
I am a graduate of Houston Baptist University, where I earned my Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and Solent University where I earned a Masters degree in Management.
I currently live in Plano, TX.
When I am not at Tunnl, you can find me playing the drums at a local Guitar Center!
DevOps Engineer
Cameron grew up in Highland, Utah, 40 minutes south of Salt Lake City. He studies information systems at Brigham Young University and graduates in April 2023.
Before Tunnl, Cameron worked for two years as a Junior DevOps Engineer for a payments company. At Tunnl, Cameron is excited to continue working on technology that helps people.
In Cameron's free time, he enjoys sports and playing his guitar. His favorite teams are BYU, the Utah Jazz, the Colts, Real Salt Lake, and the Bayern Munich.
Platform Engineer
I joined Tunnl in September 2021 and currently serve as a Data Analyst.
At Tunnl, I engage in Audience building and help craft models centered around these Audiences so that dashboards and reports can be created and delivered to clients.
Prior to serving as a Data Analyst, I gained experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau in the semiconductor industry as an Industrial Engineer.
I am a graduate of Virginia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
I currently live in Alexandria, Virginia.
When I am not at Tunnl, you can find me kayaking and attending concerts and comedy shows.
Analyst
Patrick grew up in Maine and studied Political Science at the University of Maine, Farmington. He followed a career working for the RNC from Maine to Washington, D.C. in 2021 before he found Tunnl in 2023.
At Tunnl, Patrick is most excited to apply what he learned about data in political campaigns to a new, bi-partisan space, advertising.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys hiking with his wife and cheering for Boston sports teams given his New England roots. They have two cats, Oliver and Whittaker, and a horse, Rocky.
Analyst
I joined Tunnl in June of 2021 and currently serve as a Data Analyst.
At Tunnl, I focus on client relations, modeling, and analysis.
Prior to my current role at Tunnl, I gained experience in data analysis as a Data Analyst for Y2.
I am a graduate of Brigham Young University where I earned degrees in Political Science. I currently live in Arlington, VA with my wife.
When I’m not busy with data, you can find me eating good food.
Analyst
I joined Tunnl in June of 2022 and I am currently a data analyst in the Tunnl Analyst Program.
At Tunnl, I am learning about the various ways in which we use data as well as about the other departments that make up Tunnl.
Prior to Tunnl, I gained experience working with digital advertising and audience targeting at PEER39.
I am a graduate of the University of Virginia where I majored in English and minored in French.
I currently live on Capitol Hill in Eastern Market.
When I am not at Tunnl, you can find me exercising, reading, or hanging out with my friends.
Content Manager
Melissa grew up in Jacksonville, FL, and studied Journalism for Electronic Media, Forensic Studies, and Psychology at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL, where she currently resides.
Melissa launched her marketing career at an NPR affiliate station that introduced her to local startups that needed compelling content to launch their companies.
From there, it was all agencies and fast-paced content creation across diverse industries, including IoT management software, blockchain education, ethical gem distributors, adoption nonprofits, and everything in between.
Now, Melissa is Tunnl's in-house content force, focused on educating our buyers and enabling our sales and customer success teams.
In Melissa's free time, she enjoys learning French, playing old-school point-and-click adventure games on her PC, and hanging by the pool with her husband, Taylor, and her beagle and shar pei mix, Winnie.
