Purpose of Messaging
Analytics Services, Inc. uses SMS messaging solely for non-commercial research purposes, including survey invitations, polling, and public opinion research. Messages are informational in nature and are not intended to promote, advertise, or sell any products or services.
Nature of Messages
- Messages invite recipients to voluntarily participate in surveys or research studies.
- Messages do not include marketing, advertising, or sales content.
- Messages do not promote political candidates, fundraising, or advocacy unless explicitly designated as research polling.
- Participation in surveys is optional and recipients are not required to respond.
Consent and Legal Basis
Tunnl’s SMS research messages are sent under the legal framework applicable to informational communications and survey research. Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and related FCC guidance, survey and polling communications that do not constitute telemarketing or advertising do not require prior express written consent.
Tunnl does not engage in SMS telemarketing. Messaging practices are designed to comply with applicable federal and state laws governing informational research communications.
Opt-Out and Recipient Controls
- All SMS messages include clear instructions on how to opt out.
- Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
- Opt-out requests are honored immediately and permanently suppressed from future messages.
- Recipients may request additional information by replying HELP.
Message Frequency
- Messages are sent only as reasonably necessary to support research participation (e.g., an invitation and limited follow-up reminders).
- Tunnl does not send recurring or promotional SMS campaigns.
Audience and Age Restrictions
- Messages are intended for adults only.
- Tunnl does not knowingly send SMS messages to individuals under 18 years of age.
- Message content itself does not contain age-gated or restricted material.
Data Use and Privacy
- Phone numbers are used solely for research outreach purposes.
- Data is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and internal data protection policies.
- Tunnl does not sell or rent phone numbers for marketing purposes.
